Hong Yi, also known as Red, is a Malaysian architect and artist who uses food as the edible medium for her art.
For the entire month of March, Yi will use all kinds of food and a plain, white plate to create an artwork each day. So far, she has created The Great Wave from Hokusaiut out of rice and seaweed and The Scream from Munch out of black rice, pancetta and fresh dill. Even more impressive is her meticulously detailed use of eggshells, soy sauce and seeds.
